My Little Guy has started reading on his own. I’m marking this milestone with a blog post. ![]()
I didn’t have to do much to cultivate his reading interest as I’ve done that for Big Kid and now he’s just doing what his older brother loves doing. The Galaxy Books he’s reading is from the Sunshine Books company and they turned out to be a pretty good investment as he’s the fourth reader to ‘inherit’ the two book packs after his cousins and brother!

Did you know Sunshine books is a reading scheme developed in NZ? It first came to KL in 1996 and I enthusiastically adopted it in Tadika Pudu. Unfortunately the reading program was replaced by something else when I left. By the way, encourage Little reader to write his own story after reading.

It really does feel rewarding when seeing your little ones show their interest at reading. Your son is really cute!

Wonderful! As a teacher, I know what an important milestone this is. You’re a great parent to recognize and encourage it!
